How to do a Property Search

Fill in the property search box above, click on the 'Go' button and you will see after a short pause the properties that might be of interest to you; full details can be viewed by clicking on one of the photographs.

Focus first on the type of property you want, our database of properties can help you to find your new home. So after finding a property, request a viewing appointment either on our web site, by telephoning us or by going in to one of our offices and make contact with one of our negotiators who will give you the right advice and assist you all the way through the buying process.

Getting the best from the Property Search

The information you are seeing right now on your screen comes from an ISP or Internet Service Provider. You requested that information when you conducted a search yourself or when you typed in www.alankirkham.co.uk and clicked ok.

A property search works slightly different, when you fill in the form on the left hand side of this screen, the browser that you are using sends a message to a database on a server via the internet. This database contains all our property details and if you do not specify the amount or area you are looking for it will simply return all the properties in all the areas that we cover.

The disadvantages of conducting such a search is that it may take a long time to download all this information. It also becomes more difficult to find the property that you are looking for.

Specify what you want:

Specify which area(s) you are interested in, and a price range that you require. By deselecting some areas and only including the price range that you will be using, the database will return a manageable amount of properties for you to view.

Don't be afraid to go that little bit higher in price, in some instances you might be able to negotiate a better price. For example the vendor from a property that has only just come on to the market might be very reluctant to drop the price. However, if the property has been on the market for a considerable time the same vendor might have considered a reduction on the sale of his or her property.

So go ahead fill in the form and click on the search button, you should receive after a short pause a new page with the property(ies) that the database has matched to your request. You will see the brief descriptions and if available an external photograph of the property. Should you wish to see more details about a specific property then please click on the photo, the full details and where available internal photographs, floor plans or maybe even virtual tours (360 degree photos) can be seen.
